The etudes presented here, which are to be played con espressione i.e. expressively are all wonderful pieces which can only truly reproduce the Romantic espressivo style in a virtually pure form if played with full mastery of finger, tone and articulation technique. Many of the pieces here are suitable for inclusion as solos in a Romantic concert programme.
